TEACHING
As a first generation, immigrant, Latina scientist my passion is to make science accessible to everyone. In particular, I am interested in helping students in my classroom develop their scientific literacy skills in order for them to become strong community leaders, be successful in their careers and develop a commitment to life-long learning. However, I am also keen in sharing my knowledge with community members outside my classroom and therefore regularly participate in an array of outreach activities at K-12 schools and community events.
